Heather Lamb

Heather Lamb has over 15 years of coaching experience, as well as having played for over 20 years. She established and ran Crossroads Volleyball Club in Dublin, before choosing to coach for a few other clubs while starting her family. Heather decided in 2006 that there was a significant need for another club to serve the Tri-Valley area and thus Altamont Volleyball Club was born. Heather has experience coaching at all levels. She coached both JV and Varsity at Dublin High School. While the Varsity coach, she transformed a 10-year losing program into an NCS qualifying program in 2 years. Heather believes in the importance of team unity and works to establish a sense of camaraderie between all the girls. She transforms players to think of , “What is best for the team?” rather than, “What is best for me?” Heather’s teams are very disciplined, but still finds many ways to incorporate fun throughout the season.

Justin Rita

We are very happy to have Justin Rita return to us for his second year with Altamont. Last year Justin had the pleasure of coaching our 16 Navy team with Brenda Woodsmall. Justin coached for Club Levile in Tracy from 2001-2005 prior to joining Altamont. He currently co-coaches both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams at Tracy High School. Justin played 6 years on Diablo Vally teams that qualified for junior olympics. He attended and played on the Division II National Champions from Springfield College. Justin believes it is important to continually strive for self improvement and he will undoubtedly bring this work ethic to his players.
